Also known as RETIREMENT

Good morning, everyone.

I DID IT!

I said goodbye to my job—my Monday thru Friday, 40 to 50 hours a week, brain suck.

Was it scary? Hell, yes.

Have I done this before, the full time writing life? Yes, well over a decade ago. Long before the price tag of three college educations hit me.

But this winter, the absolute futility of trying to change the world, even just a tiny department of the world, by following the same old methodology of fitting a peg into a hole hit me.

I turned 62 in January and stared into my future and screamed, “THIS IS BULLSHIT!”

Although I worked with delightful people, what I was doing didn’t make me happy. In fact, my frustration with stupidity and bureaucracy (I think they’re synonymous) had reached a Scoville level equal to that of a Ghost pepper.

So I reviewed my financial picture and wrote my two sentence resignation email. Yup, short and sweet (just like most of my books). Then I started manifesting the life I wanted.

You might Poo-poo this. I get it. But my mother taught me to envision my plans and my actions to achieve them. In fact, my oldest memory of her doing this was when I was on the diving team as a kid. I had to be about 12 and I can remember her making me close my eyes. Telling me to see myself executing the perfect dive. To feel my body move through every moment of the dive. It worked then, and it has worked for me at every stage of my life.

Now today, I’m manifesting the life I want—the good health, the wealth, the happiness, and the many stories I will write. And this process starts with getting my content up on as many places as I can, especially if TikTok gets banned. (It’s been a great platform to connect with readers and has accounted for the sales I’ve gotten over the last few months.)

So, I’ve included a YouTube short below for manifesting the achievement of your daily word count. I’m going to ask you to watch it. It’s nothing special, but with each view, it brings my channel closer to gaining the views I need to get monetized. Something I lost a few years ago because I wasn’t keeping up with content posting and views (BAD ME!)
